Integration System

The platform earns its place by fitting into what agencies already run, not by demanding they abandon it.

Purpose

What this system is for

No agency will replace its established systems in the middle of a crisis, and few will replace them at all. Interoperability is what makes adoption possible: the platform must exchange data cleanly with government databases, NGO management systems, clinical records and international coordination tools.

Open, documented APIs are the default. Custom integration exists for the cases where a partner's system predates the idea of an API.

This system carries the FHIR R4 interface used by BAEMS for clinical exchange, and the connectors to national digital health infrastructure.

Dependencies

Where it sits in the chain

No system on the platform is self-contained. This one both consumes and produces — which is why interoperability is treated as a platform property rather than a feature of one component.
