A school is a sentinel site
The school health proposal commits to community health screening and a Hospital Information Management System, ICD-10 and FHIR compliant, enabled with a Data Analysis Dashboard for Disaster Aid Management, especially during epidemics and pandemics.
That is not a stretch from school health into disaster response — it is a recognition of what school health data already is. A school provides a defined population, a known location, a roster, an attendance signal and a recurring screening cycle. Epidemiologically, that is a sentinel site, and a network of them is a surveillance system.
The COVID-19 pandemic exposed gaps in the global response to wide-scale emergencies, and it is named in the platform's own background as one of the reasons this work became urgent.

School health data is a useful sentinel signal. It is not a substitute for IHIP surveillance, notifiable-disease reporting or public health authority judgement, and the platform feeds those systems rather than asserting conclusions ahead of them.
